Analisis Kontribusi Dan Faktor-Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Sektor Pertanian Dalam Pembangunan Ekonomi Di Provinsi Riau

This study analyzes the agricultural sector's contribution to Riau Province's economic development and identifies factors influencing the sector's Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP). Using secondary data from the Central Bureau of Statistics of Riau Province from 1993 to 2022, an Error Correction Model (ECM) is employed to examine long-term and short-term impacts. The results show that agricultural labor, land area, exports, and exchange rates significantly affect the sector's GRDP. Agricultural labor has a positive and significant impact in both time frames, while land area has a significant negative short-term effect. Exports positively and significantly influence GRDP in both the long and short term, and exchange rates show a positive but inconsistent effect. The findings suggest enhancing agricultural workers' qualifications and numbers, stimulating exports, and optimizing land management. Further research is recommended to explore the impact of exchange rates and other potential variables on the sector's growth.
