Kualitas Minyak Atsiri Daun Kayu Manis (Cinnamomum Burmannii Blume) pada Berbagai Waktu Penyimpanan Bahan Baku
Cinnamon is a plant that produces essential oil. Cinnamon oil is obtained by extracting stem bark, twig bark, branches and leaves. Relatively little research has been done on essential oils with regard to different storage times of raw materials. Therefore, it is considered important to further study the storage times of raw materials "the quality of essential oil of cinnamon leaf (Cinnamomum burmannii Blume) at different storage times of raw materials" as a material for developing the management of essential oils. This study used the non-factorial RAL method with 4 treatment levels and 3 repetitions. The quality tests conducted in this study were color observation, odor test, refractive index observation and solubility test in ethanol. The essential oil results obtained had moisture content in the range of
19.28-36.67, the highest yield was at P0. Quality of essential oils on color observations according to SNI 06-2387-2006 storage (P0M1), (P1MI), (P0M2), (P2M2), (P3M2), (P0M3), (P1M3) and (P3M3), oil odor test The essential oil of cinnamon leaves with a 100% distinctive aroma is P0. All refractive index testing treatments do not meet the requirements of SNI 06-2387-2006. The 70% ethanol solubility test that complies with SNI 06-2387-2006 is P0, P1 and P2.
