Keanekaragaman Jenis dan Sebaran Anggrek (Orchidaceae) di KHDTK Aek Nauli Kabupaten Simalungun
One of the flora with high biodiversity and varieties in Indonesia is the orchid. Orchid belong to the Orchidaceae family, known for the unique shape, color, and aroma of their flowers. The purpose of this research is to determine the species diversity of orchids (Orchidaceae) in the Aek Nauli Special Purpose Forest Area (KHDTK), Girsang Sipangan Bolon District, Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra and to determine the distribution of orchids (Orchidaceae) in the Special Purpose Forest Area (KHDTK).) Aek Nauli, Girsang Sipangan Bolon District, Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra. Exploration method with 6 observation paths based on different altitudes starting between 1100 and 1700 m above sea level, the size of each path being 20 m x 500. The research was conducted in August 2023 at KHDTK Aek Nauli, Simalungun regency. The research results revealed 64 species of orchids, including 52 species of epiphytic orchids and 12 species of terrestrial orchids, a total of 297 individuals. The level of diversity of orchid species (H') at the Aek Nauli forest research site is included in the medium category because the average value of diversity is between 1 and 3, while the value of distribution index found in each search route is different, there are routes I, II and IV of
0.01 with a clustered distribution pattern, in paths III and VI the value of the distribution index is 0 with random distribution model and in path V, the distribution index value is -
0.99 with uniform distribution model.
