Identifikasi Jenis Dan Manfaat Tumbuhan Talas (Araceae) Di Desa Pulau Ingu Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi Sebagai Rancangan Booklet Biologi Sma Kelas X
Pulau Ingu Village is one of the villages located in Benai District, Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau Province. The environmental zone in Pulau Ingu Village is divided into 3 environmental zones, namely the first is the Batang Kuantan river flow zone, the edges of which are overgrown with plants of the Araceae family. The second zone is in residential areas and the third zone is in plantations owned by residents in which the Araceae family still grows. The aim of the research is to determine the types and benefits of taro plants (Araceae) in Pulau Ingu Village, Kuantan Singingi Regency as a biological booklet design based on the research results.
This research was carried out in Pulau Ingu Village, Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau. Sampling was carried out at 3 stations, namely; riverbanks, residential areas, and local plantations. Data collection began with collecting plant samples using the roaming method and continued with identifying types which were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. Followed by taking and measuring environmental parameters in the form of temperature, humidity, pH and light intensity.
Based on research carried out in Pulau Ingu Village, there were 906 individuals consisting of 15 plant species from 9 genera, 5 of which were found at the three research stations. The individual with the largest number is Colocasia esculenta. Meanwhile, the genus Caladium is the genus that has the largest number of species compared to other genera. Station II is the station where many taro plants are found because taro plants in residential areas are often used as ornamental plants. Therefore, the part of the plant that is often used is a whole plant or all parts of the plant. However, the leaves, leaf stalks and tubers, especially Colocasia esculenta, can still be used as wound medicine and food. The booklet design from the results of research regarding the identification of types and benefits of taro plants (Araceae) in Pulau Ingu Village, Kuantan Singingi Regency can be used as a learning resource in the form of a biology booklet for class X SMA.
