Analisis Sosial Ekonomi Masyarakat Petani Aren Di Desa Siambul Kecamatan Batang Gansal Kabupaten Indragiri Hulu Provinsi Riau
Sugar palm (Arenga pinnata Merr) or also often known as the enau tree, is a type of palm plant that has many benefits. The uniqueness of Siambul Village is that there are still many indigenous people from inland tribes, namely the Talang Mamak (Old Malay) tribe. One of the characteristics of rural communities is that their lives are very dependent on agriculture as the main source of income. This research aims to analyze the social and economic conditions of the sugar palm farming community in Siambul Village, Batang Gansal District, Indragiri Hulu Regency. Social conditions are seen from the level of family education and the condition of the farmer's residence, while looking at economic conditions is the income level of sugar palm farmers and their families. The respondents in this research were sugar palm farmers who were part of the sugar palm farmer group. The number of samples used in this research was 20 respondents. This research uses descriptive statistical analysis and qualitative analysis. The results of the research show from the social aspect of the sugar palm farming community that the level of education has been and is currently undergoing 12 years of compulsory education and the condition of the sugar palm farmer's house meets the four criteria for a suitable house for sugar palm farmers in Siambul Village, Batang Gansal District, Indragiri Hulu Regency.
