Analisis Hidrologi Model Soil Moisture Accounting Dengan Program Hec-Hms (Studi Kasus: Das Indragiri Awlr Pulau Berhalo)
This research examines hydrological modeling using HEC-HMS with the soil moisture accounting method to predict continuous river discharge in the Indragiri Watershed, especially at the outlet of the Pulau Berhalo AWLR Station. The Indragiri watershed, located in Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau Province, has a significant risk of drought, demanding a deeper understanding of the dynamics of the hydrological cycle and water resources management. This study aims to analyze the reliability of hydrological modeling using HEC-HMS with soil moisture accounting method, as well as to test PEV and RMSE statistics to predict continuous river discharge. The results of this study are expected to provide useful technical information for water resources management, so as to anticipate drought disasters in the region. Based on three schemes, the most optimum PEV value at the validation stage was selected scheme I (data length of 7 years calibration and 3 years validation) with a PEV value for calibration of 0.64% “Very good” and validation of 68.45% “Unsatisfactory”. Meanwhile, the most optimum RMSE value at the validation stage was selected scheme I (data length of 7 years calibration and 3 years validation) with an RSR value for calibration of 1.5 “Unsatisfactory” and validation of 1.6 “Unsatisfactory”. This indicates that the modeling results, namely the model parameter values, cannot describe or represent the actual watershed characteristics.
