Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Pilihan Siswa Mtsn Dalam Memilih Sma Di Kelurahan Khairiah Mandah

This research was conducted in Kelurahan Khairiah Mandah, Mandah District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The purpose of this study is to gain an understanding of why MTS students are more inclined to continue their education at SMA and to identify the factors that influence the rational choice of MTS students in choosing to continue their education at SMA. This study applies a quantitative approach using descriptive analysis. The sample consists of 72 participants, and data collection was carried out through observation, structured interviews using questionnaires, and document collection. The findings of the study indicate that there are factors influencing students' interest in pursuing education at SMA N 1 Mandah based on their own will without coercion from others, with a high category percentage of 51%. These factors include choosing the school based on extracurricular activities, alumni, school reputation, and target universities. The second indicator of factors influencing students' interest in continuing their studies at SMA N 1 Mandah is that students choose the school because they are influenced by actors, with a low category percentage of 36%. This means that students are not significantly influenced by actors in their choice of school. Lastly, the third indicator of factors influencing students' interest in continuing their studies at SMA N1 Mandah is that students choose the school influenced by resources, with a low category percentage of 35%. This means that students are not significantly influenced by resources in their choice of school.
