Analisis Jaringan Komunikasi Pekebun Pola Swadaya Terhadap Peremajaan Kelapa Sawit Di Desa Pagaruyung Kecamatan Tapung Kabupaten Kampar

ABSTRACT
Pagaruyung Village is located in Tapung District, Kampar Regency. Smallholders in this village partner with KUD Hasrat Jaya and have successfully replanted oil palm in 2022.This success was done without the intervention of agricultural extension workers, especially those in the plantation sector. Although the relevant agencies provided assistants, their role was limited to supervising and monitoring the implementation of oil palm replanting, without being directly involved in the process. This process took 2 years and this shows that the communication process that occurs in KUD Hasrat Jaya, especially in the dissemination of information related to oil palm replanting, has not run optimally and slowly. Based on this phenomenon, the objectives of this study are: 1) Identifying the characteristics of smallholders, 2) Analyzing communication network patterns, 3) Analyzing the role of actors, and 4) Analyzing individual-level communication networks. This research was conducted at one of the oil palm smallholder institutions, namely KUD Hasrat Jaya in Pagaruyung Village, Tapung District, Kampar Regency. Sampling procedures used in this study were purposive sampling and snowball sampling. Data analysis conducted was descriptive analysis, sociometric analysis using UCINET 6.0., determination of actors using UCINET 6.0. and Microsoft Excel, and individual level network analysis using UCINET 6.0. The results of the study can be concluded that based on the internal characteristics of age dominated by planters in the productive category, namely age 15-56, the last education of high school, the number of dependents as many as 4-5 people, length of experience >20 years, and land area 2-4 Ha. External characteristics of smallholders, namely interaction with extension workers/companions are in the category of less good, as well as involvement in the group and the amount of information and communication media are in the good category. The pattern of communication networks formed in KUD Hasrat Jaya is a wheel pattern. The role of actors contained in the communication network KUD Hasrat Jaya on the implementation of oil palm replanting are as a star, opinion leader, and bridge. The position of the actors can be described in a cartesian diagram, namely quadrant I is occupied by actors MB; quadrant II is occupied by actors SM, RD, and HA; quadrant IV is occupied by 16 other actors. Actors SM, RD, and HA are considered to have a high value on the individual level network in terms of degree centrality, closeness, betweenness, and eigenvector.
