Karakteristik Mortar Self-Healing Campuran Nano Silika Dalam Larutan Nacl Dengan Metode Perawatan Statis
ABSTRACT
Construction development in the marine environment has an impact on structural resilience because seawater is corrosive and aggressive which can cause cracks in building structures. The latest effort that can be made to increase the durability and durability of building structures is by applying Self-healing Technology by using nanomaterials in the form of silica dioxide in construction development in the marine environment. This study used nano silica variations of 0% as the control variable, 0.75%, 1.5%, and 2.25%. Initial treatment was carried out for 28 days followed by loading until there were cracks in the mortar with a width between 0.1-0.3 mm. Then the mortar samples were soaked for 7, 28, 91 days in NaCl solution as a substitute for seawater. The results showed that the highest compressive strength value was at the NS variation of 2.25% at the age of 91 days, which was 35.80 MPa. Sorptivity and porosity testing at the NS variation of 2.25% also showed the lowest value compared to other variations. The Mortar variations of NS 0.75%, NS 1.5%, and NS 2.25% have good self-healing ability and can close cracks at 91 days of age with a percentage of 100%. This shows the use of nano silica can increase the strength and self-healing of mortar in NaCl solution.
