ABSTRACT


Household food security is one of the important elements in national development and community welfare which is measured through one indicator, namely based on total expenditure consisting of food and non-food expenditure. This research aims to see the condition of food security of food farmer households, based on the analysis of the share of food and non-food expenditures of food farmer households (in this case cassava and sweet corn commodities) in Tuah Madani Subdistrict, Sidomulyo Barat Village, Pekanbaru City with Purposive Sampling method with a sample of 30 food farmer households. From the results of this study obtained the structure of farmer household income of Rp. 8.465.476/ month and expenditure of Rp. 5.313.077/ month. Based on the analysis of Food Expenditure Share, food farmer households in Tuah Madani Subdistrict, West Sidomulyo Village, Marpoyan Damai District, Pekanbaru City are classified as food resistant with a percentage of 46%.
