ABSTRACT


Oil palm is one of the plantation crops that plays a role in the welfare of the people and the Indonesian economy. Oil palm development provides benefits in the form of increased income for planters and their families. Oil palm plantation income that is able to meet the living needs of planters is important so that the welfare of planters and their families can be enjoyed sustainably. This research aims to identify the application of farming maintenance techniques, analyze smallholder farming and analyze the feasibility of self-supporting oil palm smallholder farming in Pangkalan Lesung District. Sampling was carried out purposely, namely 30 independent oil palm grower respondents. The data obtained was analyzed descriptively income analysis and farming eligibility analysis.The results of the research show that the maintenance techniques for self-supporting oil palm farming in Pangkalan Lesung District are not in accordance with recommendations, namely fertilization techniques. Analysis of the income of Self-Help Palm Oil Farming in Pangkalan Lesung District shows that the average income of planters is IDR 2,959,778 ha/month and the net income per year is IDR 35,517,330 ha/year. Oil palm farming in Pangkalan Lesung District is profitable and feasible to develop, as can be seen from the RCR value, namely 2,19 > 1.
