Analisis Neraca Air Wilayah Sungai Indragiri (Pos Duga Air Lubuk Ambacang – Pos Duga Air Cerenti)
Water is one of the essential components for basic human life. Population growth that increases every year in an area causes the need for water to continue to grow. Excessive water use can affect water availability and cause water quality and quantity to decrease. This study aims to analyze the balance between the potential availability and demand for water in the Indragiri River basin (Lubuk Ambacang basin - Cerenti basin). The method used in this research is analytical descriptive quantitative method. The calculation was carried out by analyzing the availability of water using the regional method or the comparison between the Catchment Area (CA) and the estimated water post. Water requirements are calculated based on data derived from Technical Recommendations (Rekomtek) by the Sumatra III River Basin Center, industrial water demand data and maintenance flow requirements data. Water balance analysis was conducted on 3 rainy season scenarios (wet, normal and dry season). Based on the results of the study, it shows that the water balance in all rainy season scenarios shows that the availability of water at the water intake location is able to meet the needs of water users or in surplus conditions. The highest water surplus occurred in the wet season conditions of node 2 in December period 1 amounting to 1109.136 m3/det.
