relation to the adaption of management activity due to their enormous influence on
organizational survival. However, there exists a substantial unexplored research
gap regarding how organizational and regulatory stakeholder pressure influence
the firm financial performance in the context of primer and secondary sector
companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2021-2022. The dependent
variable is firm financial performance measured using return on equity (ROE) and
return on asset (ROA). The independent variables, namely organizational
stakeholder pressure and regulatory stakeholder pressure is measured by using
awards and the bad or good news that company received in research year. The
control variables used are company size and leverage. Drawing on the stakeholder
theory and institutional theory, this study explores the framework through which
organizational and regulatory stakeholder pressure influence the firm financial
performance. The sampling technique used purposive sampling and obtained 171
companies. The study employed a quantitative approach and used descriptive
statistic test, multicollinearity test, and the independent t-test in order to modelling
technique in making data analysis and interpretation due to its appropriateness for
predictive research models. Using a documentation as data collection technique,
data were collected from annual and financial report. The findings revealed that
both independent variable positively and significantly influenced the firm financial
performance. The results of this study are practically useful as guidance for
investor, company, or government on how to give and respond the pressure.
