STUDI NORMALISASI SUNGAI BATANG UNTUK PENGENDALIAN BANJIR
The Batang River is a river located in Batang District, Indragiri Hilir Regency,
Riau Province, Indonesia. Researchers chose the Batang River as the research
object, with a river length of ±3km. In controlling floods using the HEC-RAS 4.0
application, the principle followed is that the flowing flow discharge must remain
below plan flood discharge. From the results of the calculations, several
conclusions can be drawn as follows: The design flood discharge on the Batang
River is Q2years = 32,524 m3/sec, Q5years = 44,072 m3/sec, Q10years = 51,735
m3/sec, Q25years = 61,450 m3/sec , Q50years = 68,719 m3/sec, and Q100years = 76,020
m3/sec. At the beginning the river was around 16 m wide with a depth of 3 m.
Then normalization of the river was carried out so that the river had a river depth
of 4,5m. River excavation 1.5m. The Batang River will have the capacity to
accommodate water flows up to Q25years.
