EVALUASI JUMLAH STASIUN HUJAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE STEPWISE PADA WILAYAH SUNGAI INDRAGIRI
In order to meet the needs of adequate water infrastructure, high quality
hydrological data is required. The distribution of rain station in a region can affect
the level of error in hydrological data. Evaluating the number of rain stations using
stepwise and WMO standards method in Indragiri Watershed AWLR Rengat and
Indragiri Watershed AWLR Japura. The Indragiri Watershed AWLR Rengat has 5
rain stations with an influence area of 5618 km2
, while the Indragiri Watershed
AWLR Japura has 4 rainl stations with an influence area of 4415 km2
. In this study,
using stepwise method to analuze the relationship between rain stations and
automatic water level recorder posts, as well as using WMO standards to evaluate
the density of rain station networks to determine the minimum number needed. The
results for Indragiri Watershed AWLR Rengat recommended 1 rain station, while
for Indragiri Watershed AWLR Japura recommended 1 rain station using stepwise
method. however, evaluating density based on WMO standards showed that both
Indragiri Watershed AWLR Rengat and Indragiri Watershed AWLR Japura did not
meet requirements due to uneven distribution and coverage area. With stepwiseenter method, combination of 4 rain station were obtained for both Indragiri
Watershed AWLR Rengat and Indragiri Watershed AWLR Japura but still didn’t
meet requirements according to WMO standard evaluation criteria.
