ANALISIS LEVEL KINERJA STRUKTUR BANGUNAN BERTINGKAT TERHADAP BEBAN GEMPA BERDASARKAN PROSEDUR ASCE 41-17
Indonesia is located in the meeting zone of three tectonic plates, namely the IndoAustralian plate, Eurasia, and the Pacific plate, besides that Indonesia is also
located in the ring of fire, causing Indonesia to experience frequent earthquakes.
Earthquakes can cause both material and non-material losses, one of which is
damage to building structures. Analysis of earthquake-resistant structures can be
done with the concept of Performance Based Seismic Evaluation (PBSE) using the
nonlinear static analysis method. This research aims to analyze the performance
level of the structure, by observing the target displacement based on ASCE 41-17.
This research was conducted using nonlinear analysis on an educational facility
building, with a height of 16 meters, width of 19.6 meters and length of 67.05
meters modeled using ETABS software.The results of this study show that the
story drift in the building is still in the eligible category because it is smaller than
the drift limit value. However, in checking the Demand Capacity Ratio, at the
225-year return period earthquake there were 2 beams that failed while at the
975-year return period earthquake there were 3 beams that failed. From the
calculation of the displacement target based on ASCE 41-17, the target
displacement of BSE-1E in the X direction is 0.035 m and for the Y direction is
0.047 m, while BSE-2E obtained a target displacement in the X direction of 0.047
meters and the Y direction of 0.063 meters. Based on the displacement target
values, the performance levels obtained for BSE-1E and BSE-2E fall into the
Immediate Occpancy range, which means that the structures only suffer minor
damage and can be used immediately.
