ANALISIS KINERJA STRUKTUR GEDUNG DILATASI DENGAN METODE PUSHOVER ANALYSIS (Studi Kasus: Gedung Pascasarjana Universitas Riau)
Indonesia is a country that has a high earthquake potential because it is located
in the Pacific Ring of Fire. The buildings that function for the public interest must
be designed in such a way as to avoid collapse, so as to minimize the number of
casualties. Therefore, this research takes a 6-story building with dilation that
functions as an educational building. Educational buildings must be designed to
withstand and be safe against earthquakes and post-earthquakes. The purpose of
this research is to identify the comparison of the use of dilatation and without
dilatation in buildings to the level of performance and the level of structural
ductility and collapse patterns that occur in the structure. The method used in this
research is nonlinear static pushover analysis based on ASCE 41-17 and FEMA
356 regulations. The results of the analysis show that due to earthquake loads
with a return period of 225 years and 975 years, the state of the building structure
with dilation and without dilation has a performance level that is in the immediate
occupancy category, namely the building is confirmed to have no damage to
structural elements, only insignificant damage to non-structural elements. The
first plastic joint formed in the three buildings is dominant in the beam element
and partly at the lower end of the lowest floor column, so that the strong column
weak beam in the three structural models is fulfilled. Based on the research
results, it can be concluded that the use of dilatation makes the level of structural
performance better. In terms of the level of structural performance, the use of
dilatation and without dilatation has the same level of performance, namely
immediate occupancy and has met the requirements contained in ASCE 41-17 and
FEMA 356 regulations.
