HUBUNGAN JUMLAH KECELAKAAN LALU LINTAS TERHADAP JUMLAH FAKTOR-FAKTOR PENYEBAB KECELAKAAN DI PEKANBARU
Traffic accidents are a serious problem that always occur from time to time on the
road. Traffic accidents occur from a combination of several factors consisting of
human factors, vehicle factors, road factors and environmental factors. The
research was conducted on roads in Pekanbaru City which had a high accident rate
from 2017-2023. Data from the Riau Police Traffic Directorate during 2017-2023
recorded 1,433 cases of accidents that occurred on roads in Pekanbaru. The
research aims to analyze the relationship between the number of accidents and the
factors that cause accidents. The data used is secondary data in the form of accident
data reports from the Riau Police Traffic Directorate which consists of the number
of accidents and the number of factors causing accidents. The method used is the
Spearman correlation test, t test and f test. Based on the research results, it was
found that two variables had a significant relationship with the number of accidents
in Pekanbaru, namely a very strong relationship, the variable number of
inattentiveness (X1) of r = 0.964 and number of drowsiness (X3) of r = 0.857. Based
on the hypothesis test, it was found that two variables had an almost significant
effect on the number of accidents, namely the number of careless variables (X1) is
0.123 and the number of speed limits (X5) is 0.177. Recommendations for handling
that should be carried out are providing education to road users, installing signs
and making road markings.
