Liver disorders are a health problem that needs serious attention because of its high incidence and causes morbidity and mortality with various complications. Liver disorders can be treated with hepatoprotective drugs. One of the plants that is expected to be developed is the mangrove plant. The antioxidant effect of mangrove plants can be developed as a hepatoprotector. This study aims to examine the effect of mangrove fruit extract on the picture of steatosis in the liver of rats fed a high-fat diet. Sixteen male Rattus norvegicus rats were divided into 3 groups, namely Group 1 was the group given a normal diet, Group 2 was the group given a high-fat diet, and Group 3 was given a high-fat diet and Rhizophora sp fruit extract 500 mg/kgBW.
