Gambaran Kasus Cedera Degloving Di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau Periode 2019-2023
Degloving injury is an injury that occurs when the skin and subcutaneous tissue are separated from the underlying structures. This can affect the skin coverage and blood supply to the tissue, requiring immediate action to improve the speed of recovery, reduce the length of treatment, and minimize the risk of infection. This study aims to describe the cases of degloving injuries at the Arifin Achmad Regional General Hospital in Riau Province from 2019 to 2023. This is a descriptive study with a cross-sectional method that uses patient medical record data, with a sample size of 59. Of the 59 samples, 46 patients (78.0%) were in the productive age group (15-64 years), 42 patients (71.2%) were male, 58 patients (98.3%) had open degloving injuries, the most common cause of these injuries was traffic accidents, accounting for 46 patients (78.0%), and the most common anatomical location affected was the lower extremities, with 37 patients (62.7%). The majority of patients with degloving injuries at the Arifin Achmad Regional General Hospital in Riau Province received delayed treatment (> 12 hours) as a result, this can impact the increased duration of patient care in the hospital.
