Pemberdayaan Pengolah Ikan Asin Untuk Mendukung Wisata Bahari Pantai Sikabau Nagari Ranah Koto Tinggi Kecamatan Koto Balingka Kabupaten Pasaman Barat
The potential for developing marine tourism at Pantai Sikabau,with a focus on integrating with the local salted fish processing industry, highlights the importance of synergy between these two sectors. Jorong Sikabau is noted for its stunning natural beauty and maritime traditions, including the traditional salted fish processing that has been passed down through generations. However, the salted fish processing industry faces several challenges, such as limited market access, lack of technical knowledge, and inadequate infrastructure. The aim of the research is to describe the tourist picture and charactereistics of salted fish processors to support Sikabau Beach marine tourism. The method used in this research is a case study method using a qualitative approach in purposive selection of informants. The data analysis used in this research is qualitative data reduction, data display and drawing conclusions. The result of the reseach show that the characteristics of Sikabau Beach marine touris, namely mangrove forest turism, batu kajang and Sikabau Beach estuary, are characterized by salted traditional tools. Empowerment that has been carried out for salted fish processor, namely training in product processing and fish packaging, therefore there is need for skills training for salted fish processors as well as the development of adequate infrastructure for salted fish processors.
