Pemodelan Spasial Hipertensi: Kasus Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti
This study explores spatial modeling of hypertension cases n the Meranti Islands Regency from 2020-2023. Using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), the study maps the spatial distribution of hypertension across sub-districts to identify sociodemographic risk factors sucsh as age, gender, and population density. The result indicate a significant increase in hypertension prevalence, with Tebing Tinggi Timur (28.09%) and Rangsang (26.47%) sub districts recording the highest rates in 2023. The hight prevalence of hypertension is likely linked to limited healthcare access and high sodium food consumtion. These findings underscore the importance of implementing GIS for hypertension prevention and control, as well as the need for community-based health programs to raise awareness and reduce risk factors.
