Profil Pasien Luka Bakar Pada Dewasa Di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau Periode Tahun 2019-2023
Burns are tissue damage caused by friction, exposure to heat, chemicals, electricity, or radiation. Burns are a type of trauma with high morbidity and mortality rates, and the age group most likely to die from burns is the productive or adult age group. This study is a descriptive study using a cross-sectional method to examine the profile of burn patients in adults, burn characteristics, mortality rates, and LA50 at Arifin Achmad General Hospital, Riau Province, from 2019 to 2023. The study used 114 medical records of patients who met the criteria. Among the 114 adult burn patients, the most common cause of burns was fire (38.6%), the most affected age group was 25-34 years (31.6%), the majority were male (70.2%), the most common burn depth was second-degree (43.9%), the most frequent burn severity was mild (46.5%), the majority had burn areas
