Light brick is an alternative building material for building walls that has a smooth and lighter surface. The effect of high temperatures due to fire can result in a decrease in the characteristics of lightweight bricks. Innovations continue to be made to strengthen the characteristics of lightweight bricks, one of which is the addition of polypropylene fiber which has good mechanical and thermal properties in flexibility and heat resistance. Due to the high costs and time used in the experimental approach, another alternative was used, namely a numerical analysis approach using the finite element method with the help of a finite element software program. This research aims to analyze the mechanical and thermal properties of lightweight bricks mixed with polypropylene fibers due to exposure to high temperatures. This research uses numerical simulations to analyze the mechanical and thermal properties of lightweight bricks mixed with polypropylene fiber using LUSAS software with input based on secondary data from previous research, namely density, modulus of elasticity, Poisson ratio, compressive force, thermal conductivity, and specific heat. The model is made in 3D with a tetrahedral mesh type and isotropic material using elastic properties. Mechanical property analysis simulations were carried out by exposure to temperaturesof1000C and2000C for30 minutes, whilethermalpropertieswerecarried out by exposure to temperatures of 1000C to 10000C for 30 to 120 minutes. Based on the research results, the lightweight brick model with a variation of 5% polypropylene fiber (PP5%) before being exposed to high temperatures can reduce the shortening value by 16.15% and the strain by 23.08% and increase the stress value by 14.07%. However, when exposed to a temperature of 2000C, the shortening value decreased to 22.92%, the strain value decreased to 22.73%, and the stress value decreased to 61.81%. This lightweight brick model with a variation of PP5% can also increase heat resistance to 52.72% when exposed to high temperatures for 120 minutes, with the results showing that the use of polypropylene fiber can improve strength and can withstand heat in lightweight bricks so that these results can be a reference for academics and practitioners in the development of building materials.
