Outcome Pasien Osteoarthritis RSUD Arifin Achmad Pasca Operasi Total Hip Replacement Menggunakan Kuesioner MHHS
Background: Osteoarthritis (OA) is a disease involving various anatomical and physiological changes in joint tissues, including cartilage degradation, bone remodeling, and osteophyte formation. Which if left untreated can cause joint dysfunction, pain, stiffness, and functional limitations.
Objectives To determine the general functional profile and capacity of hip osteoarthritis patients after Total Hip Replacement surgery at Arifin Achmad Hospital, Pekanbaru, March 2021–March 2024.
Methods: This research method uses a cross-sectional method. This study was conducted at Arifin Achmad Pekanbaru Regional Hospital from January to October 2024. Data were taken through medical records of hip osteoarthritis patients and filling out a questionnaire using the validated Indonesian version of the Modified Harris Hip Score (MHHS). This questionnaire was filled through Google Form and guided interviews.
Results: The results of the study of 9 patients with hip osteoarthritis who were assessed, the patient profile was obtained women totaling 7 people (77,7%), men 2 people (22,2%), the average age group of patients was 52,89 years (95% CI: 40,8264,96) with a standard deviation of 5.235 years. The side of the hip joint that experienced osteoarthritis which was assessed was mostly on the right side (as many as 5 people with a percentage of 55,5%), while the left hip joint that experienced osteoarthritis was 4 people (44,4%). The results of the functional capacity assessment of 9 hip OA patients after THR, found 7 people with very good functional capacity (77,7%), and 2 people with good functional capacity (22,2%).
