Identifikasi Dan Kepadatan Larva Aedes Spp. Sebagai Vektor Penyakit Demam Berdarah Dengue Di Desa Perawang Barat Kabupaten Siak
Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) was an infectious disease transmitted through the mosquito vector Aedes spp. Based on data from the Siak District Health Service, West Perawang Village had been identified as the location with the highest number of dengue cases in the Siak District. The population density of Aedes spp. larvae was urgently needed to support efforts in preventing the transmission of the dengue virus. The aim of this study was to determine the population density of Aedes spp. larvae in Perawang Barat Village, Siak Regency. The research used a descriptive observational method with a survey design, involving a sample of 119 houses in West Perawang Village. Data analysis included calculating the House Index (HI), Container Index (CI), Breteau Index (BI), and Larva Free Rate (ABJ). The study revealed that from 119 houses, the most commonly found larvae were Aedes aegypti (70.45%) and Aedes albopictus (29.55%). The indices recorded were HI (31.1%), CI (9.16%), BI (36.97%), and ABJ (68.9%). Based on these findings, the density of Aedes spp. larvae in Perawang Barat Subdistrict, Siak Regency, was classified as moderate, indicating a moderate risk for dengue fever transmission.
