Gambaran Karakteristik Pasien Luka Bakar Pada Anak Di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau Tahun 2019-2023
Burns are tissue damage caused by contact with high-temperature objects that can lead to temporary or permanent disability, death, and rank third among the causes of mortality due to trauma worldwide. Children are a vulnerable population for burn injuries due to the immaturity of their functional development and immune system against diseases. This study is a descriptive research using a cross-sectional method to observe the characteristics of burn injury patients in children at Arifin Achmad Regional General Hospital, Riau Province from 2019 to 2023. The study utilized 62 medical records that met the inclusion criteria. Among the 62 burn patients, the majority were in the age group of >1-5 years with 30 patients (48.4%), male gender with 37 patients (59.7%), the most common cause was hot water with 25 patients (40.3%), the most common depth degree was degree II with 31 patients (31%), moderate severity was recorded for 31 patients (31%), burn area of 10-20% for 30 patients (48.4%), length of treatment
