Potensi Ekstrak Metanol Allium sativum Sebagai Larvasida Alami Aedes aegypti
Aedes aegypti is the vector of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF), which is still a health problem in Indonesia. One way to prevent dengue fever is by using natural larvicides because the use of synthetic larvicides is known to have a negative effect on the environment. Garlic (Allium sativum) is the choice because it contains bioactive components such as alkaloids, flavonoids, phenols and tannins. This research was carried out in July-November 2024. Larvae were taken in Marpoyan Damai District, extracts were made at the FMIPA UNRI Laboratory and larval mortality was observed at the FK UNRI Parasitology Laboratory. This research is a pure experimental study using third and fourth instar larvae. The tests carried out were positive control, negative control, preliminary test and effectiveness test. Observations of larval death were carried out at 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, 24 hours, 48 hours. Effectiveness test results after 48 hours at concentrations of 1 mg/ml, 2 mg/ml, 3 mg/ml, 4 mg/ml, caused deaths respectively 73%, 77%, 86%, 91%. . The results of the One Way Anova test show that the p value is
