Gambaran Ereksi Pada Penderita Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia Menggunakan Erection Hardness Score Dan International Index Of Erectile Function 5 Di RSUD Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau
Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) was a condition in which the prostate gland enlarged due to abnormal cell growth. BPH sufferers often experienced erectile problems. Erectile function could be measured using the Erection Hardness Score (EHS) and the International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF-5). This study was a descriptive cross-sectional study involving 37 respondents, conducted at the Urology Clinic of RSUD Arifin Achmad in Riau Province from October to November 2024, based on guided interviews. The results of the study showed that 45.9% and 54.1% had severe erectile dysfunction according to EHS and IIEF-5, respectively. 18.9% had moderate erectile dysfunction according to EHS, and 24.3% had severe erectile dysfunction according to IIEF-5 in the 60-69 age group. Furthermore, 40% had moderate erectile dysfunction according to EHS, and 35.1% had severe erectile dysfunction according to IIEF-5 due to comorbid hypertension. 6.5% had moderate erectile dysfunction according to EHS, and 12.9% had severe erectile dysfunction according to IIEF-5 due to comorbid diabetes mellitus. 41.2% had severe erectile dysfunction according to EHS, and 64.7% had severe erectile dysfunction according to IIEF-5 in those using a combination of 5-ARI and Alpha blockers. In conclusion, it was found that the most common EHS score was severe erectile dysfunction, and the most common IIEF-5 score was also severe erectile dysfunction among all respondents.
