Pengaruh Pengasuhan Dalam Keluarga Terhadap Karakter Peduli Sosial Siswa SMAN 1 Kerinci Kanan Kecamatan Kerinci Kanan Kabupaten Siak

This research aims to find out 1) how good the social care character of students at SMAN 1 Kerinci Kanan is, 2) how good the care in the family is on the social care character of students at SMAN 1 Kerinci Kanan, 3) how big the influence of care in the family is on the social care character of SMAN students 1 Right Kerinci.
This type of research is ex-post facto with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were 273 students of SMAN 1 Kerinci Kanan, Kerinci Kanan District, Siak Regency. The sampling technique uses Simple Random Sampling. This sampling method is because the respondent population is considered homogeneous, namely high school students. By using the Yamane formula, the sample is 163 high school students.
The data collection methods for this research are 1) observation, 2) questionnaires, and 3) documentation. This research instrument consists of two questionnaires, namely: the family care questionnaire and the social care character questionnaire. The writing instrument goes through several stages, namely: 1) reviewing all theories related to the variables to be studied, 2) compiling indicators for each variable, 3) compiling a grid, 4) compiling statement items and establishing a measurement scale, 5 ) trial of the instrument, 6) analysis of the question items by testing the validity and reliability of each statement item.
Based on the analysis of the demographic factors of the respondents, the family care variable obtained more than adequate results with a mean value of 3.68, then on the demographics of the respondents, the social care character variable obtained a mean value of 3.67 with an interpretation of more than adequate. So it can be said that family care for students at SMAN 1 Kerinci Kanan, Kerinci Kanan District, Siak Regency is quite good. Then, based on descriptive statistical analysis of each variable, the family care variable obtained a mean value of 3.69 with an interpretation of more than adequate, and for the social care character variable, a mean value of 3.86 was obtained with an interpretation of more than adequate, it can be said that the student's social care character SMAN 1 Kerinci Kanan, Kerinci Kanan District, Siak Regency is more than enough.
The results of this research show that there is an influence of parenting in the family on the social care character of students at SMAN 1 Kerinci Kanan, Kerinci Kanan District, Siak Regency, 17.0% with a low interpretation.
