Strategi Pengembangan Usahatani Tumpangsari Kelapa Dan Nanas Madu Gemilang Di Kelurahan Kempas Jaya Kecamatan Kempas Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir
The purpose of this study is to describe the characteristics of farmers, analyze farmer income, identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in the development of coconut and pineapple intercropping farming, then formulate a strategy for developing coconut and pineapple intercropping farming. The method used in this study is a case study, in the Serba Mau farmer group which carries out intercropping of coconuts and pineapples. The results showed that the average age of farmers was 21-40 years, the average education of farmers was junior high school/equivalent, the average area of farmer land was 0.5 hectares. The total net income obtained by farmers for one year was Rp. 81,885,167/year and an average of Rp. 6,298,859/year. The farming development strategy is in quadrant 1 which means an aggressive strategy. where the power is utilized to achieve profitable opportunities, where farmers who already have quite a long farming experience, become the power to be able to create the potential for development of this farming business, besides that farmers must also be able to reach a wider market in marketing pineapple products, and with this experience farmers should also beable to develop new varieties, for pineapple cultivation in the future.
