Rice is a food commodity that is used as a staple food for Indonesian people, one of which is the people in Tapung Hulu District, Kampar Regency. The existence of rice as a staple food cannot be replaced by society, so demand arises. This research aims to (1) analyze the factors that influence the demand for rice in households of oil palm harvest workers in Tapung Hulu District, Kampar Regency, (2) analyze the elasticity of demand for rice in households of oil palm harvest workers in Tapung Hulu District, Kampar Regency. This research was conducted in Tapung Hulu District, Kampar Regency with a sample size of 60 household respondents using the purposive sampling method. The analysis used in this research is multiple log linear regression analysis. The research results show that (1) factors that have a significant influence on rice demand are total household income and number of family members, while factors that do not haveasignificant influence are riceprice, chicken price, corn price, and taste, (2) Rice demand is inelastic with respect to price, prices of other goods, and income.
