Rancang Bangun Sistem Deteksi Suseptibilitas Sampel Pasir Besi Menggunakan Integrator RC
Indonesia possesses significant potential in iron sand resources; however, the lack of domestic iron sand processing technology has resulted in dependence on foreign technologies. A comprehensive study on the potential of magnetic minerals to determine the quality of iron sand's magnetic minerals involves measuring magnetic susceptibility. This research aims to design and develop a magnetic susceptibility detection system for iron sand samples using an RC integrator circuit. The iron sand samples were sourced from Tanjung Berikat, Bangka Belitung, and processed through screening and separation of magnetic materials using NdFeB magnets. The measurement system was designed to obtain magnetization curves with magnetic field (H) and magnetic induction (B) parameters and to calculate magnetic susceptibility values for various concentrations of iron sand samples. The research process included the fabrication of solenoids for generating and detecting magnetic fields and circuit simulations using LTSpice software to ensure design accuracy. Measurements were conducted on five variations of iron sand concentrations (0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%) with an injection current ranging from -0.1 A to 0.1 A. X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) analysis was performed to determine the composition of magnetic materials in the sample. The results showed that magnetic susceptibility values increased with higher concentrations of iron sand in the mixture. The obtained magnetization curves displayed distinct hysteresis characteristics, with higher saturation magnetization observed at dominant iron sand concentrations. This study concludes that the RC integrator-based detection system offers advantages in measurement efficiency, resistance to noise, and suitability for analyzing magnetic materials with high accuracy.
