Anemia is a nutritional problem in all of countries. Based on the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2019, anemia can be happened by all age groups such as Women of Childbearing Age (WUS) including adolescent girls (rematri). Based on data from Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) in 2018, the proportion of anemia in WUS is 32.0%, increase compared to 2013. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between nutritional status and the incidence of anemia in SMA Negeri 8 students in Sail District, Pekanbaru City. The research used cross- sectional design. The subject was a class X student who was selected by simple random sampling. Anemia is measured with a Hemoglobin meter (Hb meter), Weight (BB) is measured with a digital scale, and Height (TB) is measured with a microtoise and Upper Arm Circumference (LILA) with a LILA ribbon. The results are by 51.2% of the students who experienced anemia, had a good BMI/U (68.3%), had a normal LILA (63.4%) and there was no relationship between the BMI/U (p- value = 0.332) and LILA (p-value = 0.596) with the incidence of anemia. The conclusion are the most students were anemia even though had a good BMI/U, and normal LILA, but there was no relationship between BMI/U and LILA with the incidence of anemia.
