Outcome Pasien Osteoartritis Panggul Pasca Operasi Total Hip-Replacement di RSUD Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau Menggunakan Kuesioner Hoos-12
Hip osteoarthritis results from the gradual deterioration of joint cartilage, accompanied by structural and functional changes that can lead to significant pain, stiffness, functional limitations, and a decline in quality of life. Surgical intervention, such as total hip replacement, is a treatment option for advanced stages of osteoarthritis. This study aims to identify the profile and functional status of hip osteoarthritis patients following total hip replacement at Arifin Achmad General Hospital focusing on pain, function, and quality of life using the HOOS-12 questionnaire. The study employs a cross-sectional method, conducted at RSUD Arifin Achmad, Pekanbaru, from August to December 2024. Data were collected through medical records of hip osteoarthritis patients post-total hip replacement and by administering the Hip Disability and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score-12 (HOOS-12) questionnaire via Google Forms and guided interviews. The result of 9 evaluated hip osteoarthritis patients, the demographic profile revealed 7 females (77.8%) and 2 males (22.2%), with a mean age of 51.56 years (95% CI: 39.05–64.06) and a standard deviation of 16.2 years. The interval estimation indicates that the mean age in the population is between 39.05 and 64.06 years with 95% confidence. Based on the affected side, 5 patients (55.6%) had right-side involvement, while 4 patients (44.4%) had left-side involvement. The assessment of hip functional status showed an average pain score of 84.72 (95% CI: 80.48–88.95) with a standard deviation of 5.51, an average hip function score of 87.5 (95% CI: 82.12–92.87) with a standard deviation of 6.98, and a median quality-of-life score of 87.5 (range: 68.75–93.75).
