Developing Interactive PowerPoint for Learning Vocabulary at English Study Program
This research aims to develop an interactive PowerPoint for learning vocabulary on ‘Crime and Criminal and Social Media’ material. The research subjects were 39 first semester students majoring in English study program at Riau University. The researcher applied Research and Development (R&D). The research instrument was interview, the research data were analyzed by using material expert validation sheets, media expert validation sheets, and pedagogy expert validation sheets, as well as the validation of student response toward interactive PowerPoint. The average results for material expert’s assessment for interactive PowerPoint with ‘Crime and Criminal and Social Media’ material was 98.5%, the media expert's assessment for media expert was 89.4%, and for pedagogical expert’s assessment was 100%. This that the assessment from experts was ‘very valid’, and so was from the evaluation of students themself; 82,76% for ‘Crime and Criminal’ material, and 83,47% for ‘Social Media’ material. This indicated that interactive PowerPoint is very suitable for learning vocabulary.
