The economy is very high so that people cultivate various agricultural products as a promising business potential. Riau Province is one of the areas suitable for watermelon plants which has potential land and human resources, climate conditions and target markets. However, the existing potential has not been utilized as well as possible, very small percentage of land is planted with fruit or commodities with potential.
The data used in this research is primary data such as questionnaires distributed to watermelon farmers and traders and is also based on observations from researchers. The data that has been collected will be analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results of the research show that: 1) The watermelon culture techniques carried out by watermelon farming in Kubang Jaya Village, Siak Hulu District, Kampar Regency, in general are almost in accordance with theory. 2) The use of watermelon farming production facilities in Kuabang Jaya Village, Siak Hulu District, Kampar Regency, has been carried out optimally. The first harvest costs Rp. 269,305,000 for production, gross income is Rp. 400,000,000, profit is Rp. 130,695,000 and efficiency is very efficient with a revenue cost ratio (RCR) of 1.48. 3) Harvest secondly, the production costs incurred amounted to IDR 180,005,000, gross income amounted to IDR 185,000,000, the profit earned amounted to IDR 4,995,000 and the efficiency of Udahatani was very efficient with a revenue cost ratio (RCR) of 1.03. and 3) The channel used by watermelon farming in Kuabang Jaya Village, Siak Hulu District, Kampar Regency, is by selling agricultural products to wholesalers with an efficiency value of 13.8% in the efficiency category.
