Pola Asuh Perempuan Single Parent Di Kota Batam (Studi Kasus Karyawan Di Pt. Infineon Technologies Batam)

This research was conducted at PT. Infineon Technologies Batam, Batam City Regency, Riau Islands with the aim to find out how the parenting pattern given by single parent female employees in the Batam City industry. Next, how the obstacles faced by female employees in carrying out the role of single parent in the Batam City industry. This research uses functional structural theory proposed by Talcott Parsons and role theory proposed by Coleman and Hammen. In determining the research subject by using criteria determined by the researcher or called purposive sampling technique. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods with data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. The subjects in this study were seven female employees who were single parents. The results of the analysis in this study can be concluded that the cause of a female employee at PT. Infineon Technologies Batam becoming a single parent is due to the factors of death and life divorce. There are two types of parenting patterns used by single parent women in educating their children, namely democratic parenting and authoritarian parenting. The obstacles felt by single parent women who work as employees vary in the form of problems, researchers group into two, namely obstacles in interacting and parenting and obstacles from the surrounding environment.
