Analisis Pendapatan Usahatani Cabai Merah di Kecamatan Gunung Kijang Kabupaten Bintan Provinsi Kepulauan Riau

Red chili cultivation is a farming business carried out in Gunung Kijang District, Bintan Regency, Riau Islands Province. The aims of this research are to (1) determine the condition of red chili cultivation in Gunung Kijang District, (2) analyze the income level of red chili farming in Gunung Kijang District, (3) analyze the level of feasibility of red chili farming in Gunung Kijang District. This research was conducted using the census method. The respondents in this study were 14 people. The results of the research show that the conditions for cultivating red chilies in Gunung Kijang District have been able to be implemented by farmers by 92% for seeding activities, 91% for land preparation activities, 100% for planting activities, 100% for maintenance activities, 88% for fertilizing activities, 86 % for harvesting activities and post harvest. The income of red chili farmers in Gunung Kijang District is Rp. 156.124.353/ha/MT obtained from an average revenue of Rp. 270,886,429/ha/MT and the total costs incurred were Rp. 114.762.075/ha/MT. The R/C ratio value of red chili farming is 2.44 and the B/C ratio value is 1.44 and the Break Event Point (BEP) value of production and price is 1.387 kg and Rp. 20.451 and farmers are able to obtain production and prices above the BEP basis. So that red chili farming in Gunung Kijang District is feasible.
