Analisis Gender Dalam Rumah Tangga Pengrajian Agroindustri Sagu Rendang di Desa Banglas Barat Kecamatan Tebing Tinggi Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti
Meranti Regency is one of the National Food Security Development Areas as it is the largest producer of sago in Indonesia. The limited employment opportunities due to the small scale of the industry in Meranti Regency result in job competition between men and women, leading to gender inequality. This study aims to analyze gender equality in terms of access, participation, control, and benefits in the households of sago rendang artisans in Banglas Barat Village. The research method used in this study is a direct survey method, conducted through interviews based on prepared questionnaires. The sample in this study consists of respondents who are owners and artisans in Banglas Barat Village, Tebing Tinggi District, totaling 12 respondents: 4 owners and 8 workers, in accordance with the research criteria. The study results indicate that gender equality in the households of sago rendang artisans, viewed from the aspects of access, participation, control, and benefits, is categorized as unequal, with indications of dual roles for women, especially among workers.
