Analisis Efisiensi dan Nilai Tambah Usaha Keripik Nanas Di Desa Kualu Nenas Kecamatan Tambang Kabupaten Kampar
This research aims to identify the efficiency and value-added of pineapple chips agro-industry in Kualu Nenas Village, Kampar Regency. Using a quantitative dan qualitatif deskriptif research approach, this study explores the characteristics of entrepreneurs and businesses, as well as the value-added generated from pineapple chips production. The findings indicate that the majority of entrepreneurs in Kualu Nenas Village are of productive age and have an education level equivalent to senior high school, with many of them having secondary jobs as fresh pineapple sellers. Despite the majority of initial capital coming from bank loans, this business has managed to reach both local and regional markets. The productivity of this business varies, with an average productivity of 1.2 Man-Days (MD) /worker. Analysis of the value-added shows that pineapple chips production contributes a value-added of 56.44% of the output value, indicating a high potential in this business. The total revenue from pineapple chips production demonstrates the sustainability of the business, with a Return Cost Ratio (RCR) value of 2.53, indicating a positive profit potential. This research is important as Kualu Nenas Village is a major pineapple-producing area in Kampar Regency, yet there has been a decline in pineapple chips agro-industry units. With these findings, it is hoped to provide a better understanding of the efficiency and value-added of pineapple chips agro-industry businesses and to provide guidance for improving the sustainability and stability of businesses in the future.
