Analisis Permintaan Beras di Kota Pekanbaru

This study aims to analyze rice demand trends, analyze the factors that influence rice demand, and analyze the elasticity of demand for rice in Pekanbaru City from 2006 to 2021. The research was conducted in the cityof Pekanbaru and was carried out deliberately. The datacollectedissecondarydata fromthe department, research, and related literature. The data was analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis, trend analysis, and elasticity analysis using SPSS. Demand for rice has increased by0.879 kg/capita/year. The adjusted R square value is 95.5 percent. The factors that have a dominant influence on the demand for rice in Pekanbaru cityare the population and the price of rice. Rice price elasticity shows that rice is a staple good. The cross-price elasticity value for corn shows that corn is a substitute for rice. The income elasticity value shows that rice is a normal good. Demand for rice has increased by 0.879 kg/capita/year. the adjusted R square value is 95.5 percent.
