Pola Komunikasi Dalam Mendidik Anak Pada Keluarga Nelayan Di Kelurahan Bagan Barat Kecamatan Bangko Kabupaten Rokan Hilir Provinsi Riau
Communication within a family is very necessary to interact with each other without misunderstandings. In a family, there are behaviors that are often carried out by family members, namely dividing roles between parents and children, taking actions, solving problems, and rules applied in the family. The method used is an ethnographic method with a qualitative descriptive approach. In this study, the determination of informants was carried out using a technique (snowball). The subjects of the study who are informants in this study are members of fishermen's families, namely the head of the village, wife and children in West Bagan Village and for additional sources of information taken from teachers, RTs and village heads. The types of data collected include primary data and secondary data. This data was obtained from direct interviews using questionnaires. This research aims to; (1). To find out the communication characteristics of fishing families in educating children in Bagan Barat Village, Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency, Riau Province and (2). To find out the communication pattern in educating children in fishing family members in Bagan Barat Village, Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency, Riau Province. The results of the study show that the characteristics of communication in educating children in fishing families in West Bagan Village are that they have two conditions, namely families that are open to fellow family members and those who are not open, there is no similarity in position between husband and wife, where in this fishing family the dominant one who makes decisions is the head of the family (husband) while other members only listen and support, Full decisions are in the hands of the head of the family, strict rules in the family and lack of discussion in opinions. Have empathy that is good enough by teaching children to care for fellow communities. There are parents who support their children's education and some who do not support their children's education because of the economic factors of fishing families. teaches the meaning of responsibility and independence in daily life and there are two patterns of communication of fishing families in West Bagan Village, namely the Authoritarian Family Communication Pattern and the Democratic Family Communication Pattern (Authoritative).
