Rekayasa Proses Bisnis Layanan Instalasi Farmasi Rumah Sakit Jiwa Tampan Menggunakan Metode Business Process Improvement (Bpi)
The Pharmacy Installation at Tampan Psychiatric Hospital, Riau Province, plays an essential role in ensuring the availability of safe, effective, and timely medications for both inpatient and outpatient services. However, the implementation of electronic prescription services in this installation faces significant challenges, including limited human resources and the risk of human error, which affect the accuracy, speed, and quality of services, particularly in medication preparation, verification, and delivery to patients. This study aims to optimize the business process of electronic prescription services at Tampan Psychiatric Hospital through modeling and analysis using Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) in Bizagi Modeler. In this context, a Business Process Improvement (BPI) approach was applied with a streamlining method to minimize non-value-added activities and simplify service flow, achieving higher efficiency. Simulation results in Bizagi Modeler revealed that the recommended service flow demonstrated a significant efficiency improvement compared to the initial flow. The average service time in the outpatient unit was reduced by 28.27%, while the inpatient unit achieved a time reduction of 52.73%. Overall, the findings of this study are expected to contribute to optimizing pharmaceutical services at Tampan Psychiatric hospital, Riau Province, and serve as a reference for improving pharmacy services in other hospitals facing similar challenges.
