Kontrol Sosial Penggunaan Gadget Pada Anak Yang Kecanduan Game Online (Studi Kasus Pada Anak Usia Sekolah Dasar Negeri Yang Berada Di Desa Gang Kenopan Kabupaten Rokan Hilir)

This research was conducted at the State Elementary School in Gang Kenopan Village, Bangko Pusako District, Rokan Hilir Regency with the aim of finding out how parents control their children's online game addiction. Then what impact does this have on children who are addicted to online games? This study uses a qualitative method. The research results found that parents were the determining factor in the occurrence of online game addiction in their children. Apart from that, friends and social environment factors cause children to become addicted to online games. The impact caused by online games shows more negative impacts than positive impacts. Parents' efforts to overcome online game addiction are by limiting their children's time playing games, supporting their children's hobbies and sending their children to private tutoring. It is recommended that parents pay more attention to their children, spend more time with their children. Parents must be able to regulate their children's schedule for studying and their children's schedule for playing on smartphones, and parents must regulate their children's time, including sleep time, parents must always accompany their children if they want to play games.
