Pelaksanaan Fungsi Keluarga Pada Polisi Wanita Kepolisian Daerah (Polda) Riau
Family is the first social institution that plays a role in forming individual character. Women Police in the Riau Regional Police (POLDA) face challenges in carrying out family functions because police duties require high dedication. Policewomen have a dual role that affects the balance between professional duties and domestic responsibilities. The aim of the research is to understand how female police carry out family functions, including educational, affectional, protective, recreational functions, and the obstacles they face in carrying out these roles. The research uses qualitative methods with descriptive research type. Research informants were obtained using purposive sampling. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results show that female police officers in the Riau Regional Police (POLDA) carry out family functions even though they face limited time and work pressures that require them to go into the field. Policewomen use strategies to balance roles such as assisting children in learning, using communication technology, using time together between police duties, involving extended families in raising children. Women Police implement strict supervision over their children, both in terms of social interactions and use of digital technology. The main obstacles faced are work demands which often sacrifice time with family, difficulties in dividing roles, and stress due to work pressure.
