Adaptasi Penumpang Sebagai Adopter E-Money Pada Transmetro Pekanbaru
Social adaptation is a process of self-adjustment carried out by individuals who modify themselves according to existing circumstances, situations, and conditions. Adaptation can occur naturally or artificially. E-Money, a new innovation implemented as a payment method for Transmetro Pekanbaru, has brought about significant change. Regardless of whether they are willing or not, passengers are required to adapt to this new innovation, necessitating adjustments to the latest payment method. The method used in this study is descriptive quantitative, employing observation, questionnaires, documentation, and data analysis techniques using the SPSS 21 application as the key research tool. The study results show that 43% of respondents have a high level of adaptation as adopters, 49% have a low level of adaptation, and 8% are unable to adapt at all. Among 100 respondents, 8% could not adapt to the E-Money method for Transmetro Pekanbaru. This is a concerning issue; if these passengers are left unaddressed, efforts to transform Pekanbaru into a Smart Madani City will not be achieved. Therefore, education and socialization about E-Money are essential, requiring collaboration between the government and the community. This cooperation will help Transmetro Pekanbaru passengers understand, accept education, and adapt to the E-Money method, enabling its application in their daily lives.
