Penerapan Face Recognition Pada Absensi Pegawai Secara Real – Time Menggunakan Metode Haar Cascade Classifier Di Kantor Mpp Kota Pekanbaru
ABSTRACT
The magnetic card attendance process has advantages in terms of the speed of recording employee attendance, but the disadvantage of this method in general is that it has the risk of losing or damaging the employee card and can be cheated by leaving the card to commit attendance fraud. Face Recognition Attendance is an attendance method that records the presence of employees through facial recognition by extracting the characteristics of each individual. For this reason, Face Recognition attendance has the advantage of a more optimal and efficient attendance recording process. The application of Face Recognition to employee attendance using the Haar cascade Classifier method at the Pekanbaru City MPP Office aims to implement an attendance system to be more effective in recording employee attendance. The algorithm used in the implementation of Face Recognition attendance is the Haar Cascade Classifier which consists of several processing stages, namely haar like features, integral images, align facial landmarks, and adaboost classifier. Of the two tests carried out, namely self-testing to test accuracy and direct testing to test attendance record, the results of the self-testing obtained an accuracy level of 78% from 56 employee faces and direct testing succeeded in recording 21 employees and 35 employees who were not recorded in the direct test. The implementation of Face Recognition attendance is expected to increase the discipline and honesty of employee attendance and can be a more efficient attendance method if fully implemented at the Pekanbaru City MPP Office.
