Kerjasama Ekonomi Digital Indonesiasingapura Di Kawasan Ekonomi Khusus Nongsa Digital Park Tahun 2021-2023
This study examines the digital economic cooperation between Indonesia and Singapore in the Nongsa Digital Park Special Economic Zone (SEZ) from 2021 to 2023. The Nongsa Digital Park (NDP) SEZ is envisioned as a hub focused on digital economy development. The NDP SEZ holds significant potential to advance the digital economy in Indonesia. In this context, Singapore, as a leader in digital economy, has made investments in Indonesia through Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and established various forms of cooperation. These collaborative efforts are believed to be mutually beneficial, with Indonesia gaining from technology transfer and human resource development from Singapore, while Singapore benefits from the ability to establish businesses in the NDP SEZ with relatively low labor costs.
This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing various data collection methods, including literature review, observation, and the gathering of information from books, journals, websites, and documents related to the cooperation. The study adopts the perspectives of mercantilism and international cooperation theory.
The findings of this research indicate that the digital economic cooperation between Indonesia and Singapore has contributed positively to the development of the NDP SEZ. This includes the establishment of infrastructure and facilities that support digital economic activities and the operations of businesses within the zone. The technology transfer from Singapore to Indonesia has facilitated the development of various programs within the NDP SEZ. Conversely, Singapore, as the capital provider, benefits from favorable conditions that allow the establishment of companies within the NDP SEZ, making the cooperation mutually advantageous for both nations.
