Political Will Pemerintah Daerah Kota Pekanbaru Dalam Pencegahan Dan Percepatan Penurunan Stunting Tahun 2022- 2023

Local governments have the authority to provide basic health services, which underlie efforts to provide equitable and quality health services to support inclusive development. From every problem faced by the government, the government's political will is very important for the survival and development of humans. Stunting is a type of child growth and development disorder starting from the first 1,000 days of life to the age of 24 months. This research is located in the city of Pekanbaru. The purpose of this study is todescribe the government's political will in preventing and accelerating stunting reduction in 2022-2023. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The types of data are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques are carried out by means of interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques in this study start from data collection, data reduction, data presentation to drawing conclusions. The results of this study show that the political will of the Pekanbaru City Regional Government in preventing and accelerating stunting reduction in 2022–2023 is not optimal. Although there are initiatives through the Stunting Child Foster Father (BAAS) program, its implementation still faces obstacles in the uneven distribution of aid and reach. Policymakers also still have a limited understanding of several important regulations, and face challenges in building synergy between stunting policy implementers and private sector involvementis still minimal, synergy between parties has not been built properly, communication strategy documents (STRAKOM) are not available, budgets are still hampered, and The distribution of human resources is not even. In addition, business continuity is also still lacking because the efforts made tend to be short-term.
